Joi Ito announces in his page that:
«Jibot is the robot who lives in the #joiito channel. He was originally developed by rvr and became a group effort. With everyone hacking on him, he had gotten a bit flakey. termie with the help of a few others totally refactored him and now jibot is really happy. Thank you termie!»
As I've been (and I am) very busy with the launch of TypePad in Spain, I haven't been up to date in the lastest developments of jibot. I've seen the new code and looks perfectly structured. Good work, termine! One of the things that make me happy with jibot is not only that is widely used, not only in this channel, but also that this seems a good example of a project that lives beyond its original programmer. And Python allows it!
Jibot is an open source IRC bot you can use as a database and as command interface to Google, Amazon and Technorati and to post in #joiito blog.
